Cheek Blocks To Divert The Vang Sheet Away From The Hatch Opening?

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Size or model of the cheek block?

Drilling & mounting advice, or a picture?

Has anyone used a fairlead instead?

We are considering a couple options:

1) http://www.harken.com/productdetail.aspx?id=4523&taxid=416

2) http://www.harken.com/productdetail.aspx?id=41606&taxid=7594

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers,

G

I installed a couple of the 29mm Harkins in the corners.  Thru-bolted in deck.  Use ni-lock nuts and fender washers below and cut off the screws flush with the bolt heads with a Dremel tool.  They work well to open up the hatch.  Also, install a loop of shock cord to lift the vang up to the boom when the vang is slack.  Not convenient to take pictures right now.
